The Society for the Dissemination of Natural Sciences (SNU) awards the H.C. Ørsted Medal in silver for associate professor, and PhD in Electrical Engineering Samel Arslanagic.
Electromagnetism is a subject many find very abstract and difficult to grasp. Associate Professor Samel Arslanagic has devoted much of his working life to introducing students to the world of electromagnetism.
Year 2020 marks the 200-year anniversary of the discovery of electromagnetism - a science that lies at the heart of all electro-technology and which thus provides the basis for our modern society.
Associate Professor Samel Arslanagic from DTU Elektro, Electromagnetic Systems, elevated to IEEE Senior Member effective from March 2020.

On Thursday 6 June, PhD student Piotr Kaminski from DTU Electrical Engineering succesfully defended his PhD on Active Nanophotonic Antenna Arrays for Effective Light-Matter Interactions.
Each semester one or two teachers of our department are nominated best teacher based upon the students' course evaluations. The best teacher of the semester was announced earlier today.
Every year, the students vote for their favourite professors and crown the Lecturers of the Year in the BEng and BSc/MSc categories. In the latter category a lecturer from DTU Elektro was awarded.
