Professor Olav Breinbjerg of DTU Elektro’s Electromagnetic Systems group awarded the 2019 Edmond S. Gillespie Fellowship

The Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA) Board of Directors has awarded professor Olav Breinbjerg of DTU Elektro’s Electromagnetic Systems group the 2019 Edmond S. Gillespie Fellowship.

The Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA) Board of Directors has awarded professor Olav Breinbjerg of DTU Elektro’s Electromagnetic Systems group the 2019 Edmond S. Gillespie Fellowship “for outstanding and pioneering contributions to the theory, practice and art of antenna measurements”.  The fellowship is named after professor E.S. Gillespie (1928-2007) of California State University, Northridge who was a highly recognized pioneer in the field of antennas and antenna measurements.  The award ceremony took place at the 2019 AMTA Meeting and Symposium in San Diego, California, October 2019.  Olav Breinbjerg is recognized for his technical-scientific research on theory and practice of high-accuracy spherical near-field antenna measurements in relation to DTU Elektro’s DTU-ESA Spherical Near-Field Antenna Test Facility.
