Terahertz Camera for Remote Detection of Material Defects and Biological and Chemical Substances

THz imaging systems offer unique properties of being able to identify objects through a range of materials and have the ability to identify biological and chemical substances. The major driving force for THz imaging systems development today is originating from security applications.

The aim of the project is to design a camera covering a frequency range from 200 to 2000 GHz and perform measurements in close to real time at stand-off distances up to 10 m with a resolution of 2 cm.
