Olav Breinbjerg Named IEEE Fellow

Professor Olav Breinbjerg of DTU Elektro’s Electromagnetic Systems group elevated to IEEE Fellow, effective from January 1st 2019.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers has elevated Professor Olav Breinbjerg of DTU Elektro’s Electromagnetic Systems group to IEEE Fellow, effective from January 1st 2019, with the citation “for leadership in spherical near-field antenna measurements”.  Following an evaluation process involving twelve  nominators, references, and endorsers, the  IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number selected in any one year cannot exceed one-tenth of one-percent of the total voting membership. IEEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership and is recognized by the technical community as a prestigious honor and an important career achievement.  Olav Breinbjerg is recognized for his technical-scientific research on theory and practice of high-accuracy spherical near-field antenna measurements in relation to DTU Elektro’s DTU-ESA Spherical Near-Field Antenna Test Facility.
