The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has elevated Associate Professor Samel Arslanagic from our Electromagnetics Group to IEEE Senior Member in March 2020.
Only 10% of IEEE’s members hold this grade, which “requires extensive experience, and reflects professional maturity and documented achievements of significance”.
Samel’s evaluation process involved three highly distinguished endorsers. His elevation was justified on the account of Samel’s yearlong contributions to the field of applied electromagnetic theory with special emphasis on wave scattering from complex material structures from radio to optical frequencies.
