The EMS group of DTU Elektro has recently initiated collaboration with Qorvo. Qorvo (former RFMD & TriQuint Semiconductors) is one of the world largest manufacturer of RF and microwave components for defence and security and wireless communications. Among their customers can be found well-known developers of smartphone such as Apple and Huawei. On April 4th, 2016 representatives from the Qorvo design center in Nørresundby visited the EMS group to give a presentation for the students in microwave technologies. As part of the DTU-Qorvo collaboration students are given the possibility to do master thesis project at Qorvo, including access to get integrated power amplifier chips manufactured in Qorvos semiconductor fabrication facilities in the US and relocation compensation.
