On Friday, 18.09, 13.30 – 15.30, a well-attended seminar on Electromagnetic Theory and its Modern Applications, was given at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Group for Electromagnetic Systems (EMS). The seminar comprised lectures by two of the most recognized capacities in the field of electromagnetic theory and encompassed both its fundamentals as well as its recent applications in the area of passive and active metamaterial-inspired electrically small radiating systems. The first talk on Engineering Passive and Active Metamaterial-inspired Electrically Small Radiating Systems was given by Prof. Richard W. Ziolkowski, University of Arizona, USA, while the second talk on An Overview of Maxwell’s Treatise was given by Dr. A. D. Yaghjian. Both speakers are the long-term collaborators of the EMS group.
