New technology will soon make the surface of titanium used for dental implants completely white. This will be immensely important for the growing part of the population living with one or more artificial teeth.

Hardened titanium opens up a world of opportunities

DTU researchers have developed a new patentable and simple method to harden the surface of the lightweight metal titanium and thus multiply its strength. With an increasing use of 3D metal printing, the use of titanium will probably skyrocket.
