This project aims at investigating different techniques for antenna diagnostics – the process of
determining the extreme near-field of an antenna from measured near- or far-fields. This serves to identify the course(s) of anomalies observed in the far-field radiation pattern and to study complex near-field phenomena. The project will make use of existing software tools and measurement data. The project involves theory and numerical testing with primarily experimental data and lies within the research on spherical near-field antenna measurements
of the Electromagnetic Systems group.
