Out of the turmoil of the cancelled physical conference event a virtual event successfully emerged.
The 14th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation - EuCAP 2020 - was planned for March 15 - 20 in Copenhagen and we were ready to receive more than 1500 participants, more than 50 exhibitors, and more than 25 sponsors for a 5-day programme with more than 1200 technical-scientific presentations.
However, EuCAP 2020 became one of the very first scientific conferences to fall victim to the Corona virus and it was cancelled on March 6th - less than 10 days prior to the opening.
Since then, the Conference Organizing Committee has worked hard to enable that some elements of the conference could take place online - and out of the turmoil of the cancelled physical a virtual event successfully emerged. The EuCAP 2020 Online has included electronic access to all conference papers, live online presentations of the Best Paper Award nominees, several Short Courses and Industrial Workshops, and during June the access to recorded presentations for more than two-thirds of all papers.
