Antennas

Projects of different complexity are available in the field of microwave and millimeter wave antenna measurements at the Electromagnetic Systems Group, DTU-Elektro. The projects are related to operation of the DTU-ESA Facility for accurate antenna measurements and operation of experimental planar near-field antenna scanner.

 

DTU-Elektro operates, in cooperation with European Space Agency (ESA) the DTU-ESA Spherical Near-field Antenna Test Facility in which highly accurate antenna measurements are carried out on request of ESA as well as for many educational and research institutions and private companies. DTU-Elektro also operates a small planar near-field antenna scanner developed by students.
A series of topics related to antenna measurements are available to advance and support new tasks emerged last years: measurement of electrically small antennas, of electrically and physically large antennas, of new antenna characteristics, reduction of measurement time, advanced processing related to antenna diagnostics, etc.

Contents and extent of particular project is to be discussed with the supervisors.
